On a random Wednesday evening, a couple months back, my stomach burst into agonizing pain. I'm doubled over on the ground trying to relieve the stabbing sensation, while my mother calls my primary physician to see if she should call an ambulance. I've had similar instances with this exact pain for years. Since I was about 10 I think. And a few days earlier I had gone to the doctor to see if they could figure out what it was that's been told numerous amounts of things from from having acid indigestion to IBS. I never really believed these doctors because every time they would prescribe me something, the meds never worked. So in this case, my doctor told my mother that I didn't need to call for an ambulance but that I should go to urgent care anyways.
After getting there I didn't have to wait long. we were escorted to the back, by very friendly nurses, and they gave me tons of meds to subdue the pain. I seriously thought I was floating on a cloud after that. The nurses ran a couple of test and came back to tell me, that what was causing the pain was gallstones. And that they were moving around in my intestines towards my liver and that was why I had feeling I had. This in turn caused me to stay in the hospital for about week, so I could have surgery.
The whole time I was there, the nurses were very accommodating and friendly. even after I had woken up after one of my surgeries screaming, because I had no clue where I was. Good Sam was definitely the best hospital I've been to thus far.

I was in the ER last night for a kidney stone. I was in a really foul mood when I arrived. Y'all's staff was super professional and super nice. I felt extremely well taken care of. Thanks to everyone there.

Tonight we had the misfortune of visiting the ER due to one of my kids experiencing an injury.
The wait to check in was only a few minutes. We were triaged pretty quickly with a short wait in between, while we were waiting to be seen. We were then moved to another waiting room that was a lot nicer. There were coloring books and crayons. My daughter went right to work, keeping calm, while I panicked on the inside. Everyone we came in contact was really nice. The person who registered us was extra cognitive about security issue and gave us privacy while I gave her our personal information.
The best part of the visit was ER Dr. Josh. He came into the room and worked with my daughter on her level. His approach kept her involved with the exam to help her cooperate. Experiencing his upbeat attitude made me feel comforted. His communication style kept me informed and ultimately put my mind at ease. The post care instructions were also very good.
Thankfully the ultimate purpose of this visit was just peace of mind to make sure that something wasn't seriously wrong with my daughter. I couldn't have asked for a smoother experience. Now to get my daughter to stop being such a stunt monkey. :)

My mom had 2 surgeries here regarding breast cancer. The many nurses and surgeons and anesthesiologists that we met were each 100% helpful not only to my mom but to my family as well.
The hospital is clean and state-of-the-art. Nurses are welcoming and compassionate. I can never understand in a million years how someone can go into that kind of profession and be angels for other people in need of some kindness.
I will put Good Sam on the top of my list if I ever have to choose a hospital for myself.

I seriously love this hospital, not that I love going to the hospital.
I recently required a visit to the ER. From admission to discharge everything was explained thoroughly and with compassion from the Nurses, Techs and Dr. This was my 2nd time in their ER, and I must say I had the same experience 4 years ago as well! ER Doc, Dr.Newell was professional but also very kind. I've worked in a hospital before so I've experienced horrible bedside manners that some Healthcare professionals can posses with their patients. My ER Nurses Pamela and Michelle were just the right amount of sweet for a time that I could have been an emotional wreck.
So if you are ever in need of Emergent Care, or a family member, I would recommend going to Good Samaritan ER!
